Natac Group inaugurates its new factory in Hervás (Extremadura, Spain) with an official ceremony

Hervás, June 2, 2021 – Natac Group, a Spanish biotechnology business group dedicated to the research, development, manufacture and commercialization of ingredients of natural origin, has inaugurated its new factory in Hervás, Spain this Wednesday, June 2, in an official ceremony.

The event was attended by Mr. Guillermo Fernández-Vara, President of the Junta de Extremadura, Ms. Patricia Valle Corriols, Mayor of Hervás, and various representatives of the regional government received by Antonio Delgado Romero, CEO of the Natac Group.

During the presentation, Mr. Antonio Delgado highlighted the choice of Extremadura as a strategic location for the group.

The factory, where the event took place, is set in a privileged natural environment with a great agricultural tradition. It has almost 21,000 m2, in which the first phase of the factory has more than 6,500 m2 of production area, offices and warehouse. A multiproduct center in which various extraction technologies are combined, with state-of-the-art equipment and machinery with an estimated annual processing capacity of 3,000 tons of raw material.

For his part, the president of the Junta de Extremadura, Mr. Guillermo Fernández-Vara, has pointed out the importance of business groups such as Natac, betting on Extremadura in order to develop a socioeconomic fabric at the forefront of Europe.

Hervás now is a point of innovation and talent thanks to the construction of the Natac center,” added Ms. Patricia Valle, Mayor of Hervás.

The Hervás factory’s first objective is to produce plant extracts, both from botanical species known in the region such as olive trees, grapes, and saffron as well as from species grown in remote geographical areas such as rhodiola; originally from Siberia.

Multiple technological factors, not to mention its organic certification, make this production plant a world reference and the most efficient and clean in our industry,” explained Mr. Antonio Delgado.

Sustainability has always been a key part of Natac, as the center of its existence and, with this recent location, it extends its vertical integration model based on strategic alliances to the Extremadura region, with important local producers to offer natural ingredients with the highest quality and traceability guarantees. In addition, the synergy created between the factory and its surroundings is also positioning the town of Hervás on the world map of healthy ingredients.
