Natac, Alvinesa and Innovaoleo: Part of Project Biorred

Developing innovative dietary additives with natural origin

We are proud to announce that Natac and our olive division Innovaoleo, in collaboration with our partner Alvinesa Alcoholera Vinicola, are working on an applied research aimed to develop new additives of natural origin and high added value, by using olive and vine derived extracts, for applications in food (antioxidants, antimicrobials and antioxidants) and ingredients for animal feed (antimicrobials and antioxidants), capitalizing on the benefits of using biorefineries as a key factor of success for this project.

Project Biorred, which aims to improve the collaboration between technological SME’s and different organizations and research centers as Universidad de Burgos, IRTA or AINIA Centro Tecnológico, is supported by the “Programa Estatal de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación Orientada a los Retos de la Sociedad” (State Program for Research, Development and Innovation Focused on Society Challenges). This project is designed to develop three business lines in the development of natural additives: for the agroalimentary sector, for animal feed and for the prevention and improvement of human and animal health.
