Project Description
PAMQ
Dedicated to the study and promotion of aromatic medicinal plants (AMP) in Extremadura. We analyze how the growing conditions affect the phytochemical profile of the plants and their potential for use in commercial products. The study includes species such as Echinacea purpurea, Echinacea angustifolia, Melissa officinalis, Valeriana officinalis, Salvia officinalis and Urtica dioica.
GLOBALPAM
Development of the aromatic and medicinal plant sector in Extremadura and the differentiation of production in the food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and animal nutrition market. CYNARA
Cynara cardunculus (cardoon) is a key crop for the production of Torta del Casar cheese, in which only the pistils of the flower are used. Natac’s goal is to valorize the rest of the plant, taking advantage of its high content of phytochemicals of interest to obtain extracts from this biomass.
