Location: As Somozas, La Coruña, Spain

We are currently seeking an Industrial Laboratory Technician for our production plant.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory analytical techniques for the fats and oils industry.
  • Analytical techniques for drinking water, process water, and wastewater.
  • Experience in wastewater treatment plant management is a plus.
  • Use and operation of analytical software.
  • Use and operation of chromatographic equipment (HPLC and GC).
  • Experience with ICP-OES equipment is a plus.
  • Interpretation and evaluation of results and decision-making based on them.
  • Accurate and precise recording and maintenance of data and results in the designated formats (paper and electronic), correctly filling out the required information.
  • Ordering and monitoring inventory of laboratory supplies.
  • Compliance at all times with safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Adherence to standard operating procedures, in line with the company’s policy of continuous improvement.
  • Use of laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Notifying the direct supervisor of any product or analytical issues and participating in their resolution.

Requirements:

  • Education: Level II vocational training and/or a bachelor’s degree in chemical science, food science and technology, or a related field.
  • Computer skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience: More than 2 years of laboratory experience is preferred.
  • Other skills: Specific knowledge of applied chromatography is preferred. Attention to detail in the analysis of test results. Knowledge of HPLC and GC is preferred.

Job Functions

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification.
  • Languages: Native or bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish. A third language will be considered a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of B2B sales experience. Experience in related industries such as biotechnology, food ingredients, pharmaceuticals, or cosmetics is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, persistent, and solution-driven attitude.
  • Travel approximately 35%–40% of the time within the assigned region.
