We are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician for our headquarters in Galicia (As Somozas).

Functions of the job position:
- Analytical laboratory techniques for the fats and oils industry.
- Analytical techniques for drinking, process and waste water.
- Experience in water treatment management is a plus.
- Use and operation of analytical software.
- Use and operation of chromatographic equipment (HPLC and GC).
- Experience in the use of ICP-OES equipment is desirable.
- Interpretation and evaluation of results and decision-making based on them.
- Recording and maintenance of data and results in the designated formats (paper and electronic) with rigor and precision, correctly completing the required information.
- Orders and stock control for laboratory materials.
- Compliance at all times with safety guidelines and protocols.
- Monitoring of standard working procedures, as part of the Company’s continuous improvement policy.
- Use of computer applications for laboratory management (LIMS)
- Notifying the direct supervisor of any incidents with products ad analytics, and participating in their resolution.
Requirements:
- Training: Degree in chemical sciences, food science and technology or other similar field.
- Other knowledge: Knowledge of HPLC and GC.
- Computer skills: Office software package at an intermediate level.
- Level of English: B1
- At least 2 years of experience in similar positions.
- Experience in the fats and oils industry is desirable.
- Concern for order and quality. Attention to detail.
- Cooperation and work on a multi-disciplinary team.
- Planning and organization.
- Specific knowledge of applied chromatography.
- Rigor in the analysis of analytical results.
