The territorial delegate of the Xunta de Galicia in Ferrol, Martina Aneiros, has visited the omega-3 production plant that Natac has opened in As Somozas, the largest in Spain. She was accompanied by the mayor of the town, Juan Alonso Tembrás.
Natac’s Chief Industrial Officer, Francisco Alcaín, has guided both of them through the factory’s facilities showing them the process of refining, deodorization and bleaching of fish to develop healthy ingredients of natural origin and of the highest quality.
Aneiros thanked Natac Group for the trust placed in Galicia, settling in a region, Ferrolterra, which needs industrial initiatives that provide added value’. Furthermore, she highlighted its importance as an asset for the port of Ferrol through which the plant is supplied with raw materials.
According to Aneiros, Natac has just joined a long list of companies in Galicia dedicated to the biotechnology sector, making the region the second most bio-entrepreneurial region.
