Natac, a biotechnology company specializing in the sustainable production of botanical extracts and omega-3 oils, has been honored at the fourth edition of the prestigious Forbes-UBS Sustainability Awards 2025, in the Health and Pharmacy category.
These awards recognize the trajectory and efforts of Spanish family-owned companies (both SMEs and large enterprises) that are committed to developing sustainable policies in their businesses.
José Carlos Quintela, Vice President and co-founder of Natac, received the award at a ceremony held at the Mandarin Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid, which brought together prominent representatives from the business world.
During his acceptance speech, Quintela explained that, “Since the founding of our company, which is now celebrating its 15th anniversary, sustainability has always been a key strategy. Given that 95% of our sales are conducted outside of Spain and we compete globally, it became clear when charting our path that our advantage had to be based on developing a way of working different from the rest—one that is sustainable and, at the same time, competitive. That was the direction we decided to follow.”
